In Konversation: Understanding uprisings at Indian Universities – StandwithJNU & beyond

In this special episode of In Konversation we are joined by special guest host Khadija Khan, a Justice & Peace student from Georgetown University (United States), as she unpacks and explores the context and issues of contention arising from the 2015-2016 uprising across Indian Universities – centered around the StandwithJNU campaign. Khadija meets up with radical academic and social justice activist Sumati Panniker as they discuss caste, class, gender and government repression at JNU and beyond remarking on links to the Global South and the South African student movements in particular.
